Comprehensive support for women with breast cancer

Our services for affected women
Being there and providing support
Support from the coordination office and patient representatives
You will find our association opposite St. Martinus Hospital in Olpe, in the immediate vicinity of the breast center.
Personal conversations are particularly important to us. Feel free to drop by our coordination office during opening hours, write to us, or give us a call.
Discussions with our volunteer board members and patient representatives can also be arranged at any time.
Giving courage with heart pillows
A small sign of great solidarity
Every year, we donate over 200 homemade heart pillows to St. Martinus Hospital for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery.
The pillows are sewn according to a special pattern developed by a Danish nurse.
Their unique shape helps relieve pain after surgery and provides comfort to patients.
Sharing knowledge at café discussions
Informed, exchanged, connected
Our monthly café discussions focus on the exchange of knowledge and mutual support.
We regularly invite speakers from various fields, because sound knowledge strengthens — in prevention, during illness and in aftercare.
In an appreciative setting, participants can ask questions and receive helpful insights. Our goal is to provide guidance, relieve stress, and accompany people in the best possible way throughout all phases of their journey.
Building expertise at the congress
Further training for patients and professionals
The congress ‘Holistic Treatment Concepts for Breast Cancer’ has been taking place in Olpe for over 20 years and has established itself as an important platform for exchange between patients, relatives, professionals and interested parties.
Every year, Dr Jürgen Schwickerath invites renowned experts to present the latest medical developments, holistic therapy approaches and practical aids for everyday life.
The congress combines sound specialist knowledge with personal exchange, thereby strengthening the health competence and support of women with breast cancer.
Stay active with sports programmes
Be active – physically and mentally
Exercise strengthens the body and mind – and can even support the success of cancer treatment.
We offer special exercise classes to support women on this journey after a breast cancer diagnosis.
Under the guidance of experienced physiotherapist Frauke Tenoort-Linz, we provide training in a trusting atmosphere that promotes strength, flexibility and well-being.
Enhance your wellbeing through healing singing and relaxation
Find peace and recharge your batteries
Our sound, voice and relaxation activities invite you to find peace and recharge your batteries.
Our monthly healing singing sessions with music and sound therapist Sigrid Baust, as well as other relaxation offerings, help to promote inner peace, calm the body and soul, and return to everyday life feeling stronger.
Prevention with self-examination courses
Strengthen early detection, gain confidence
Early detection is the most important measure in the fight against breast cancer. In this course, women learn how to examine their breasts safely and carefully themselves. There is the opportunity to practise on breast imitations using the successful ‘Mamma Care Method’. The course provides understandable knowledge and practical techniques and allows time for questions – for greater confidence in your own body and a good feeling in everyday life. The courses are run by Evamaria Weinbrenner, a gynaecologist.
“Look Good Feel Better” – Cosmetics Seminars
Schönheit bewahren, Selbstwert stärken
We are partners of the DKMS Look Good Feel Better seminars for women undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.
Our cosmetics specialist Birgit Gerhard-Hoberg demonstrates practical steps for skincare, subtle coverage and the redrawing of eyebrows and eyelashes.
